HACEP Kenya is a health-focused organization committed to improving community health outcomes through sustainable and evidence-based interventions. We are currently implementing the Healthy Start Initiative, a program aimed at strengthening Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) screening and management among infants within the Lake Region of Kenya.
Job Purpose
The Office Administrator will be responsible for managing the reception area, handling communication, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Front office assistance
- Receive and attend to visitors in a professional manner
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
- Maintain visitor records and office logs
- Schedule meetings and coordinate appointments
- Support administrative and clerical tasks
- Maintain office organization and filing systems
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, or related field
- Proven experience in a front office or administrative role is an added advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Email)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

We are currently implementing the Healthy Start Initiative, a program aimed at strengthening Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) screening and management among infants within the Lake Region of Kenya.
Job Purpose
The Project Officer will oversee the implementation of the Healthy Start Initiative, ensuring effective coordination, monitoring, reporting, and follow-up of SCD screening and patient care activities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day implementation of project activities across supported health facilities
- Ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and work plans
- Coordinate with county health teams and facility staff
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor screening and management activities
- Track project performance indicators and ensure data quality
- Support implementation of M&E frameworks and reporting tools
Patient Follow-Up & Case Management
- Ensure proper follow-up and linkage to care for diagnosed patients
- Coordinate with health facilities to track patient outcomes
Reporting
- Compile and submit daily, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Document project progress, challenges, and lessons learned
- Prepare reports for donors and stakeholders
Capacity Building & Support
- Support training and mentorship of healthcare workers
- Provide technical support to facilities on screening and reporting tools
Logistics & Operations
- Coordinate distribution and utilization of project supplies
- Ensure proper documentation and accountability
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Community Health Nursing, Diploma in Medical Social Work, or related field
- At least 2-3 years' experience in health program coordination
- Strong understanding of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) programs
- Experience in Monitoring & Evaluation and reporting
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel within project areas
