HACEP Kenya conducted a field visit to Macalder Sub-County Hospital to deliver newborn SCD test kits and strengthen readiness at facility level. Stakeholders including clinicians, laboratory teams, and county health representatives received practical orientation on screening workflows, data capture, referral pathways, and follow-up support for families.

HACEP Kenya visited Muhuru Bay Sub-County Hospital to deliver newborn SCD test kits and train stakeholders on sample handling, documentation, referral pathways, and coordinated follow-up for newborns and caregivers.

At Awendo Sub-County Hospital, HACEP Kenya handed over SCD test kits and facilitated practical training with clinicians, laboratory teams, and county stakeholders to strengthen quality newborn screening and reporting.

During the Uriri Sub-County Hospital outreach, HACEP Kenya delivered screening commodities and trained stakeholders on standardized workflows, data quality, and referral linkages to improve early SCD detection.

HACEP Kenya's Rongo Sub-County Hospital visit combined test kit delivery with stakeholder orientation on caregiver communication, referral completion, and continuity of care for screened newborns.

HACEP Kenya visited St. Camillus Hospital, delivering essential medical equipment and training healthcare providers on the HACEP Kenya Data Management System to improve data management and reporting. The visit also focused on newborn screening for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), equipping staff with skills for early detection and care, ultimately improving patient outcomes. This initiative is expected to enhance early diagnosis and intervention for SCD, ultimately reducing related morbidity and mortality while strengthening overall healthcare delivery.
